Our switchable glass is manufactured using a factory process that involves sandwiching a non-adhesive switchable film between two toughened glass panels using the Eva process. Switchable glass can be operated using a simple electric button or remote control.

Smart Switchable Glass Film is a distinctive laminated glass that consists of a layer of Switchable Transparent Film, two interlayers, and two glass panels. When no power is supplied, the liquid crystal droplets in the Switchable Transparent Film are randomly oriented, giving the film an opaque appearance. When power is applied, the crystals align parallel to the electric field, allowing light to pass through and giving the film a transparent appearance.

When electricity is applied to the film via the wiring, the liquid crystals align, and the window instantly becomes clear. When the power is turned off, the liquid crystals return to their normal scattered positions, rendering the glass opaque.
